Polish Radio holds 'Culture versus Dictatorship' concert
A special musical event in support of the political opposition to President Lukashenko in Belarus is billed at the Polish Radio Concert Hall in Warsaw, Sunday evening.
Under the motto 'Hear Belarus - culture versus dictatorship' the concert highlights include a presentation of poetry by democratic opposition campaigner Uladzimir Niaklayeu with a musical interpretation by Belarusian groups Recha and the WZ-Orchestra.
The inspiration behind the concert is the crackdown on the opposition by the Lukashenko regime after the presidential elections in Belarus in December last year.
The concert is being broadcast live by Chanel Two of Polish Radio.
