In 2010, Belarus increased agricultural products output by 2%
In 2010, all varieties of agricultural enterprises in Belarus increased output of agricultural products by 2% compared to the previous year period, to the sum of 30.8 trn BYR (10.47 bln USD) in comparable prices, declared the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus (Belstat).
According to data of Belstat, in 2010, the production volumes of agricultural organizations and farming enterprises grew by 1.5% compared to 2009 results. At the same time, economies of the population increased the output by 2.9%.
In 2010, grain and leguminous plants production in Belarus in all varieties of agricultural enterprises totaled 6.993 mln tonnes in clean weight, down 17.8% compared to 2009 results. In 2010, flax-fibre production volumes decreased by 2.4% to the level of 45.8 thsd tonnes.
As a reminder, in 2009, agricultural commodities production volumes in Belarus grew by 1.3% compared to 2008.
