Transneft sees Russian oil supplies to Belarus resumed Jan 17-18

MOSCOW, Jan 13 (PRIME-TASS) -- Russia's oil pipeline monopoly Transneft expects Russian oil supplies to Belarus to be resumed on January 17-18, Transneft CEO Nikolai Tokarev said Thursday.

Russian-Belarusian talks on the price of oil are expected to be completed by Sunday, he said, adding that oil supplies in January had been planned at 1.5 million tonnes, but were now unlikely to exceed half of that amount.

Dow Jones Newswires reported on Wednesday that Russian oil majors, Rosneft and Lukoil, said they had halted oil supplies to Belarus on January 1 due to a pricing dispute. However, transit shipments remain unaffected, a spokesperson for Russia's oil pipeline monopoly Transneft said, as cited by Dow Jones Newswires.
