Belarus to raise tariff on Russian oil transit

Belarus is to raise tariff on the transit of Russian oil by 12.5 percent from February 1, said the Ministry of Economy on Monday.

Belarus currently charges Russia's oil transit through its territory for 1.64 U.S. dollars per ton per 100 kilometers.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the tariff increase was due to a change in economic conditions of oil supplies from Russia and its transportation through oil pipelines located in Belarus.

Russia and Belarus regularly agree on prices for oil transit, as well as export duties on hydrocarbons.
