Belarusian state news agency and TREND sign partnership agreement

Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BELTA) and Azerbaijani International News Agency TREND signed an agreement on cooperation in the information field.

Based on the document, the parties will maintain regular exchange of operational information, analytical materials, as well as photographs of the actual events of internal and international life of their countries. The parties also intend to cooperate closely in the organization and provision of information support of visits of heads of states and official delegations, as well as other interstate events and activities held in the territory of the two countries.

"I sincerely hope that the chosen form of partnership, not only fills the space of media heavy-quality information material, but also serve to strengthen the friendly Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations," Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nikolai Patskevitch said. He was commenting on signing of an agreement between TREND and BELTA.

BelTA is the biggest information agency in the Republic of Belarus. For over 90 years now, BelTA has been the official national information provider.
