Al-Ghurair receives ambassadors of Belgium and Belarus
WAM Abu Dhabi, Jan. 4, 2008 (WAM) -- Abdul Aziz Abdullah Al-Ghurair, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), received at his office here today at the FNC premises Belgian Ambassador, Anick Van Calster.
During the meeting, they discussed relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and ways to boost them in various areas.
They reviewed parliamentary ties between the FNC and Belgian parliament, discussed coordination between the two sides and other issues of mutual interest.
Meanwhile, Al-Ghurair has also received Belarusian Ambassador, Alexander Simishko, who presented to him an official invitation from Speaker of Belarusian parliament to visit Belarus.
They discussed bilateral ties between the two countries and the commitment of the leaderships of the two countries to boost those ties in various areas.
The meeting also highlighted the relations between the parliaments of the two countries, exchange of visits by members of the two parliaments and their coordinated stances at international parliamentary conferences and meetings.
Al-Ghurair thanked the Speaker of Belarusian parliament for the invitation, which he promised to honour at a later date.
