Yushchenko, Lukashenko laud high level of Ukraine-Belarus relations
KIEV, January 20 (Itar-Tass) -- Presidents Viktor Yushchenko and Alexander Lukashenko laud a high level of Ukraine-Belarus relations, the Ukrainian presidential office said on Tuesday in comments on the Chernigov summit.
Yushchenko welcomed "the level and dynamics of the bilateral relations," while Lukashenko acclaimed bilateral trust. He thanked Yushchenko for "the Ukrainian colossal support to Belarus in the relations with European and American partners."
Lukashenko said that the Chernigov meeting focused on energy cooperation and joint projects with the Baltic republics and Poland.
