Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan to sign final customs union accords

MOSCOW. January 25. KAZINFORM. Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are planning to sign a package of documents on their Customs Union, which will finalize the legal groundwork of this integration format.

The documents are to be signed after the meeting of the EurAsEc Interstate Council, Russian Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov said as he opened the meeting on Friday.

The package of documents complements the four earlier agreements signed by the presidents of these countries. "It's a significant move toawrd implementing the accords by the head of states, reached in Sochi in August 2006," he underlined.

Zubkov noted that the member-state of the Customs Union "are hoping that other members of the Community (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan - eds Itar-Tass) will join this Union as they become ready, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
