UkrTransNafta hopes transit of oil via "Druzhba" pipeline will be resumed

At seven a m (Kyiv time) on January 8, 2007 the transit of oil via the "Druzhba" pipeline, passing the territory of Ukraine, was discontinued. At 9.13 and 9.16 p m on January 8, 2007 oil supply to Hungary and Slovakia was stopped.

At the same time oil supply to Ukraine's Lysychansk and Kremenchuk refineries were not ceased and underway according to the schedule.According to UkrTransNafta, the company possesses all technical capabilities and is ready to fulfill the signed agreements on oil transit to Hungary and Slovakia to the full. The Ukrainian company stated its hope that misunderstandings between Belarus and the Russian Federation will be shortly resolved and oil transit be resumed.
